Welp that only took 2 games. When listing to Hating Ass Bryan Broaddus, David Helman, Mickey, Rob Phillips and Taylor Stern goes terribly wrong. Truth is they was telling lies about Rico because they insecure is Hell And think Rico is going to do what Dak did to Romo. But that’s not going to happen because the cowboys don’t want Rico to start over Witten they want him to work with Witten. And it only took 2 games for the truth to come to the light DAAAAAAAAAAM!!

After Jaylon Smith’s debut it would be an understatement to say I was hyped. I am so excited for this guy when he made his first tackle, It seemed like every cowboy fan was looking for #54 on the field. There was a lot of stuff that I liked from Jaylon in his first game and some that needs to be worked off by some more snaps in the preseason. Let’s get in to it.

Cooper Rush Noah Brown And Rico Gathers all need to be on the 53 Roster. Kellen Moore Hanna And Swaim Going to have to bite the dust. Zeke led the League in rushing with Both Hanna And Swaim riding the bench with Injuries. I really wish our Dallas Cowboys Media heads would stop hyping these 2 up like they’re something they clearly are not. Swaim has dropping balls issues and Hanna is A 0% When it comes to being A weapon on the chart. Jason Garrett better get this right because i Don’t think Jerry is going to be putting up with having this much talent on A Team and not winning A Ring much longer. It’s A New Era time to get rid of the old and bring in the new!!!! Neither of these guys is going to take double teams away from Witten in double TE Sets BUT WE ALL KNOW WHO WILL!!!

Noah Brown had a standout game vs the Rams. Catching 3 passes for 47 yards. He’s making his case for WR 6 with his improvement of play and training camp breakout.

Noah Brown is a physical WR. He’s big. 6’2 225. Put him in 88’s jersey, helmet, and cleats and you’d think Dez is on the field. His blocking is impeccable we could really use that on outside runs and I know im not the only person upset when Zeke has a hole on the outside and you can already tell he’s gonna get 20 or 30 yards but the WR cant hold his block and its only a 8 yard gain. Brown is tough to bring down. A slant pass was thrown to Brown early in game the CB tried to arm tackle him, he shrugged it off. He got 6 more yards then he trucked a safety that was going low for 15 yards.

Brown has big play ability he’s not the fastest guy around but the 50/50 balls are his sweet spot. He excels at high pointing the ball in the air. Just take a look at OSU vs Oklahoma last year. You’ll see what I mean. Like I said hes not fast but his game speed is good. A little bit slower than Dez.

I can’t wait to see the Cooper Rush to Noah Brown connection tonight, it’s gonna be a good one. Noah Brown’s grade: B-

Xavier Woods shined in the Preseason game against the Rams. He had a total of 7 tackles in the game 3 were 3rd down stops. There are a lot of positives I took from this game and not a lot of negatives yet. Let’s get in to it.

Xavier Woods is a sure tackler. His angles are raw, but his wrap up is amazing. There was one play I saw Woods on. It was man to man and Xavier’s’ guy had a drag route over the middle. The receiver caught the ball but Xavier was on him like white on rice. He put his shoulder pad on his thigh and grabbed his ankle. He alligator rolled through the tackle like it came natural to him. It was only a 5 yard completion that brought 4th down.

He’s small for a safety but plays big. You can see it in the film when he had that big hit on Hemingway and in run support, which I really like about this kid. Xavier isn’t afraid to get down and dirty in the box. He doesn’t shed blocks but his reaction time to holes in the gaps is astonishing. I guess he doesn’t need to shed a block when he’s already filled the gap and has the running back in the backfield running like a chicken with his head cut off trying to find a hole to run through.

I can’t help but compare this kid to Earl Thomas. We Longhorns love our defense and Earl was arguably one of the best Safeties we’ve ever seen. Earl had great over the top coverage, and great reaction time. Earl couldn’t be blocked by a tight end because he’d already run past him and make the tackle. Earl wasn’t the biggest guy either, but he could sure stick it to you.

I can’t wait to see what this young man has in store for us. It’s a great day to be a Cowboy. Overall Grade: B+

Go Cowboys.
